How Should You Get Your Vehicle Ready for Spring?

• Get a Tire Inspection - Regular tire inspections are key to keeping your tires in good shape. Our technicians will inspect the surface of the tires to check for damage; they will also measure the tread depth to make sure that it's at a safe and legal level. They will also inspect the tire pressure to ensure that it's at factory specifications on all four tires. If you switch between summer and winter tires, it may be time to think about making the switch.
• Check the Windshield Wiper Blades - The windshield wiper blades have spent a long winter dealing with snow and ice, but their work isn't done! Make sure they're up for the job by having them checked out. If they're cracked, worn, or otherwise in poor repair, we can replace them.
• Get Your Battery Inspected and Tested - At Schmelz Countryside Volkswagen, we can check your battery to see how much charge it can still hold, or determine if a replacement is necessary. We can also visually inspect the condition of the battery, as well as the battery terminals, the cables, and more.
• Come In for an A/C System Inspection - As the weather begins to warm up, the air conditioning becomes even more important! We can inspect it to make sure everything is as it should be.
